授業の概要 及びねらい	This is a four skills course that focuses mainly on English speaking and listening skills at an improving level. Topics focus on communication for students’ major area of study. 英語の4技能の向上を目指す。トピックとしては、学生の専攻分野に関するものやグローバル社会におけるコミュニケーションに関するものを取り扱い、初級より進んだレベルのスピーキング力とリスニング力に主に焦点を当てた授業を行う。

授業の 到達目標	・Students will be able to produce and respond to questions at a starting level, perform tasks using English at a starting level, communicate concepts using English at a starting level, offer and follow instructions at a starting level, discuss familiar topics such as people, places and events at a starting level. ・質問をしたり、質問に答えたりすることができる。 ・英語を使用してのタスクを行うことができる。 ・英語を使用して、様々な考えを伝えることができる。 ・指示をだしたり、従ったりすることができる。 ・人、場所、出来事など身近な話題について議論することができる。
学習方法	Students should attend all classes. Homework must be completed on time. Homework requires Internet and a computer or mobile device.

Students are expected to pre-read chapters before class and to follow-up review after each lesson. Students are also expected to complete homework on time and to study for all quizzes/tests outside of class. Students may request additional assistance if needed from the instructors.
