授業の概要 及びねらい	This course will be taught in English and is designed as an introduction to Japan/Japanese culture for overseas students. Students learn about various aspects of Japan/Japanese culture. International students will share their own cultures and students will be able to reflect on their diversity.

授業の 到達目標	1.Gain an overview of life in Japan 2. Gain an understanding of everyday Japanese 3. Learn about aspects of Japanese culture 4.Learn about the history and culture of Saga and Kyushu 5.Compare Japan and the World in aspects of nutrition, music, food, lifestyles and culture. While learning about Japanese culture and Japanese life, international students will share their own culture with Japanese students and all students will be able to reflect on similarities and differences. After listening to all the lectures, students will make groups and prepare a power point presentation.
学習方法	Lecturers will firstly present the topic to the students. This will be followed by question time, group work and group discussions.
テキスト及び 参考書籍	Students are NOT required to buy a set textbook. A USB should be purchased to save the power point presentation slides.

You must attend all classes and speak English as much as possible. You must participate and make a presentation in English in a group. Japanese students will help with initial Japanese classes. Please prepare an apron and bandana for the cooking class.The schedule is subject to change according to the availability of lecturers.
